No matter the session you are booking, it is important to know the person you are working with. Especially if they will be handling your baby.
This is why I like to schedule an optional consultation soon after you contact. This can be by phone or in person. We can go over your thoughts for the session as well as discuss any artwork you are looking to obtain from the session.

The deposit will be due to hold your date and time. For newborns, I book them by the due date, that way I can limit the bookings I have in a certain period. I'll also forward and agreement and questionnaire so that we can both be prepared fully for your session.

prepping for your shoot
You might have purchased hair and makeup as an add on. This will be done at the session start time. I highly suggest hair and makeup for all sessions. It's a great way to feel pampered.
Newborn sessions average 2-3 hours, while all others tend to average about an hour. Not to worry though, I'm not timing the session. We go as long as needed. Sometimes little ones need longer, and sometimes they are quick and let us know they are done sooner.

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?
We take limited sessions per month so that we can give each client we book our full attention. We recommend booking as soon as you are ready.
Newborn sessions are typically held before 2 weeks, but that is not set in stone. We can do it later if you need some time to adjust. Maternity sessions are best done between 30-34 weeks.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Simple black or white t-shirts/dresses is preferred. We do also have a pretty large wardrobe to offer. But we'll go over all of that during our phone consultation.
WILL WE GET UNEDITED PHOTOS?
I won't ever hand my clients an unfinished project. Every photo is hand edited to match the style you see here on my site. I have a vision for each photo when I capture it, and I will happily show the image once it's met my standards and completed.
IS STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE?
Yes. I have a commercial studio in Port Coquitlam.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
You will be sent an online gallery or if you wish, have an in person viewing within 2 weeks from your session.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?
We want to ensure everyone is safe and healthy and sometimes a reschedule is required. We'll need to go over options should the need arise. .
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
The nice thing about my process is that you get to choose the images you want to purchase. You'll receive the number of images in the package chosen and you'll have the option to purchase more.
WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?
There's a number of reasons. Technically it's because my professional labs are the only ones that can print the wide range of colour perfectly. I've got my computer calibrated to my print lab to ensure the best quality. My prints are also heirloom quality that will hold up for a life time. And lastly, because way too often clients don't even print their photos and forget about them sitting on the computer. To me, it's a waste.
WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?
Newborns are scheduled at 9-10am, other studio sessions are any time, based around naps as needed. Outdoor sessions are only done at sun set.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?
I do prefer in studio. For outdoor sessions Colony Farms in Coquitlam will have my heart always.
