It's an incredible honour to be chosen as your photographer. I can not wait to capture these very special moments for your family.
My goal as a luxury family photographer is to provide my clients with images that can adorn their walls for years to come. These moments pass us so quickly and I'm so glad that you've decided to capture them.
My style is light and airy. I love to keep it classic and simple so there is no worry of your images being a fad or going out of style.
Preparing for your Session
Sessions are best done from 6-14 days fresh. That being said, I do love older newborns too. It's not written in stone that we have to do them at this time and I would rather schedule it for when everyone feels adjusted. If you need extra time, that's fine! I mark the due date in the calendar so I can limit the amount of babies I have in a certain period. I ask that you contact me once you have the baby so that we can set a date/time for your session.
Before you leave home: Please give the baby a bath and try to keep them up for a little bit if possible. Then right before you leave give them a nice big feed. The car ride will usually help them sleep after that.
What to bring: A pacifier (even if you don't normally use one, it's appreciated), enough for two feedings if formula feeding, change of outfit for baby. Simple white and black shirts for parents/siblings is recommended with no logos. I also have simple white dresses for mom and some for little girls up to size 5.
Hair and Makeup is available for an additional fee (or with specific packages). If you have hair and makeup, that will start right away while I'm working on baby only.
If you are bringing other children, I'll shoot the family/sibling photos first (after hair and makeup if applicable). Once those are done, I recommend another adult take the children out so that we can focus on baby. The session runs 2-3 hours for regular sessions.
Newborn sessions take between 2-3 hours
Sessions are best typically done between 28 and 33 weeks. I find that at this time you will still be comfortable and your bump will be visible. Use this day to get pampered. I suggest getting a manicure and pedicure. Maybe even your hair done. It feels so great and often helps with your confidence. You could even make plans for after your session while your all done up :)
What to bring: I have a variety of gowns for you to wear as well as girls outfits from size 1-5 that I can coordinate before hand. I recommend bringing a casual outfit for partner/children and yourself. Like jeans and white shirts. Plain white or black shirts highly recommended. White, and nude bra and panties are recommended due to some of the outfits being quite sheer, strapless if you have them.
Hair and make up is available as an add on to packages. If you booked hair and makeup, that will start at the session start time. Come with a fresh clean face and clean dry hair. If you are doing makeup yourself or having someone do it. I suggest a full face with lashes if possible. If you are getting hair and makeup done. Please arrive at your session time for that. Your partner and children can come 1.5 hours afterward if hair/makeup are getting done.
Typically sessions take about 1.5 hours plus 1.5 hours for hair makeup if chosen. We'll usually do 3-4 outfits. Mini sessions take 30 minutes with one outfit.
Edited photos will be sent in an online gallery about 2 weeks after the session. You will be able to select your included photos from this online gallery.
This is the same prep for whether you are booking a sitter session, cake smash or a regular family session.
Please ensure children are well rested and fed before arrival. We'll try to schedule before hand around the babies typical nap times. Please tell me before hand if you have any colors that you want to incorporate or if there are any allergies. I do typically shoot mostly white for these sessions unless requested otherwise.
