It’s another year, and about time I write about our 2025 Christmas Sessions. I’m so excited for these!!
This year we decided to forgo the backdrops and create full sets with real props. It’s been a journey (to say the least). But we’ve settled on sets that look amazing and as always focus on creating a fun experience for the kids. I’ll start of by sharing the sets and then going over suggestions on what to where and how to prepare. You can book your session here if you haven’t done so yet.
Let’s get right into it. We will have 3-4 sets this year! The entire studio is being transformed into one big Christmas set for the entire month of October. We’ve done a few trials and they are so beautiful.
What Are the 2025 Christmas Mini Session Sets?
This year, we’ve created three luxurious, full-scale sets designed to be timeless and elegant.
- The White Fireplace Set: This set features a classic, elegant white fireplace with beautiful garlands and glowing lights. It’s a bright, airy backdrop that will make your family photos feel effortlessly festive.
- The Dark Fireplace Set: For a cozy and intimate vibe, the dark fireplace set is perfect. It’s moody and dramatic, ideal for capturing warm, cuddly family moments.
- The Bonus Pink Set: This is a whimsical and fun new addition for 2025. It’s a playful set with a pop of pink, designed for capturing magical, unique photos.
You can get a feel for our style and approach by looking at some of our recent work on our Vancouver Photographer page.

What Should We Wear to Our Christmas Mini Session?
Choosing outfits is simple. The best photos come from families who feel comfortable and coordinated. We recommend choosing from a color palette that complements our sets.
Recommended colors include:
- Neutrals: White, cream, beige, and tan
- Jewel Tones: Burgundy, emerald green, and deep navy
- Metallics: Silver and gold
- Darker Tones: Black, charcoal gray
- Playful Pinks: Lighter pinks for the bonus set
You can go for a casual look with sweaters and jeans, or dress it up with gowns and suits. The sets are flexible and will work with a wide range of styles, from simple and cozy to glamorous.
How to Prepare for Your Holiday Photo Session
Once you book your session, you will receive a detailed guide that covers everything you need to know. It will be emailed to you one week before your session and includes information on what to expect, how to find our location, and the best time to arrive.
Do we allow outfit changes?
Yes. During the Christmas sessions (without Santa) we do allow outfit changes. We recommend coming in the outfit that you like most just in case time does not allow for changes.
What if I don’t see any dates?
Our Christmas mini sessions are very popular and fill up quickly. If all the spots are booked, you can sign up for our waitlist to be notified if any new dates become available.
